FOUNDER, CEO & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Dr Gráinne Oates is the CEO and Founder of Quitch. She is also a leading educator in the accounting field, and currently holds the position of Associate Professor in Accounting at Swinburne Business School. Dr Oates has taught at a tertiary level both in Australia and internationally. She is a passionate educator and is motivated to improve the student learning experience through the use of innovative technologies.
CHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER & PRODUCT MANAGER
Matt Weston is the Quitch CTO. Matt has 15 years of IT experience, with specialist skills in software development, product feature design and enhancement, technical problem solving and team management. Having previously worked in both the tertiary and corporate sectors, Matt enjoys roles that enable him to meaningfully contribute to innovative software development projects. He is excited by opportunities in which he plays a key role in early-stage development and/or implementation, mentor up and coming developers and substantially value add to the growth potential of start-ups and entrepreneurial technology companies.
CUSTOMER SUCCESS MANAGER
Sandra has built a strong customer-focused career over the past 12 years, having worked in varied sectors across different cultures, including the tertiary sector and agency environment. Her experience ranges from customer-focused and international marketing roles across the business to business and business to consumer markets. Her main area of interest is in helping businesses internationalise by advising on and executing internationalisation strategies, cross-cultural negotiations and international marketing.
UI & GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Jessica Pitcher is the User Interface & Graphic Designer for Quitch. Jessica has been involved with numerous organisations including Chapter House Lane, Mailbox Art Space and Heide MOMA and is currently on the board of BLINDSIDE. She holds a Bachelor of Visual Communication (Honours) from Monash University.
Craig Baird is a software engineer and lead developer at Quitch. Craig has 10+ years experience in software development including development of paging systems used by many large hospitals and aged care centres across Australia, development of software for a range of products used in air traffic control in several places across the world including Lagos and Hong Kong, and in-game development, having worked on titles such as; Need For Speed: No Limits, Real Racing 3 and The Sims Freeplay. He enjoys the creative side of development and mentoring more junior members of the team.
Victoria Thavamani is a Software Developer at Quitch. She holds a Bachelor of Computer Science and Engineering degree from GITAM University, India. She has over 4 years of experience as a software developer. Victoria has been involved in various software development projects in the past and brings with her valuable experience & knowledge. She wears any challenging hat that is thrown at her and completes it with a wide smile. She is passionate about how the web leads the world today and likes to constantly experiment with emerging technologies and new techniques. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling and loves trying new food.
James Hassall is a Bachelor of Computer Science student at Swinburne University of Technology, and is interning at Quitch as a Junior Developer. He is excited for this opportunity to learn, and further develop his skills.

Rafaela Abraão Jorge
Rafaela Jorge is passionate and driven with over 10 years’ experience. Rafaela has specialised expertise across business development, account management, retail marketing and customer service, having previously worked for large multinational companies such as Nike. Rafaela is a true character with great energy, that wants to see businesses succeed through effective tools that engage and educate their stakeholders via a fun and user-friendly platform.
ADVISORY PANEL CHAIR
Gary brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the private equity and investment space. He has held the position of Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of one of Australia’s largest and most successful investment platforms (Bankers Trust). He has been a Non-Executive Director of one of Australia’s largest wealth management groups (NAB Wealth), as well as Cambridge Industrial Property Trust (Singapore listed REIT) and has been Chair of RetireAustralia as well as GPT’s wholesale investment management platform.
Oji Udezue (Former Head of Product for Communications tools, Atlassian). Oji is an innovation-focused and multi-disciplined business leader and general manager with a proven track record for building products and bringing them to market while managing and mentoring high-performance teams. He is a US-based startup mentor, entrepreneur and investor. Oji builds products that enhance the way we live and work. Oji spent a decade with the team that built Windows, before joining the world’s largest hedge fund Bridgewater. Oji successfully created then divested tech company Intermingl.
Jane Hewitt is the founder of Unilodge a pioneer and leading provider of student accommodation in Australia and New Zealand. She developed this business into an operation with assets of approximately $ 1 billion. Jane is also the Chair of the Beacon Foundation. The Foundation works to create an Australia that understands, cares and is motivated to support young people to successfully transition from education to meaningful employment. Jane has been a valued advisor since January 2018.
Reed Leighton is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Director of Leighton O’Brien, responsible for leading the organisation’s global operations and strategic direction. Reed began his career at Shell where he managed Shell’s Australian retail and distribution network for safety, environmental and security compliance. Reed is a well-known industry leader in software and engineering services for the global oil industry. Reed’s responsibility at Quitch is establishing the strategic business development function to drive top-line revenue, for the domestic market and establishing the global distribution model.
